CRAFT contributing writer Brookelynn Morris rode her skateboard around Maker Faire this weekend, and after hours there just happened to be some rolled-out bubble wrap in Expo Hall. “It’s the loudest noise I’ve ever heard in my life,” she says. This fleet of humongous roving cupcake cars first appeared at Maker Faire 2007. They’re the brainchild of Tesla Motors engineer Greg Solberg.
This is an upgrade to Mitch’s brain machine that requires moving the low pass filters from LED positions 3 and 4 to positions 4 and 5. New firmware provides superior audio and improved syncing of the LEDs with the binaural beats, as well as allowing software control of LED brightness. With an upgrade to the power supply, RGB LEDs are also supported. The firmware will also compile for an ATMegaX8 and will run on an Arduino.
