Math on a window by Quinn Dumbrowski.
There is something about a blank page. The uncarved block is perfect in its limitless potential. In one sense, any mark, or any cut, diminishes it.
In another, less hokey and vastly more practical sense, the world is full of blank pages and uncarved blocks. So if you don’t like where it’s going, you know, just throw it away and get a new one. Or, if that makes you feel wasteful, just start out marking on something you can erase.
Sound like a boring topic for a round-up? I thought so, too, until I started researching. Just see if you can make it all the way to the end without getting an itch to start marking something up.
