Last week was Doppler’s birthday, Creative Digital Music has a tribute featuring where to learn more about the Doppler effect, and how it applies to astrophysics (but NOT the expansion of the universe), and how to reproduce it in software like Pro Tools. Kotaku has an overview on watching TV on your PSP using Sony’s LocationFree TV “watch cable TV, DVDs and DVR from your home entertainment center anywhere you can access a broadband connection. The one (major) downside is that you have to fork out about $350 to buy the LocationFree TV base station.” – a commenter on the site also mentions “you can use it to play PSX/PS2 games on the PSP. Granted there is a slight lag, but it does work.”Link.

The ODEO podcast studio is now open – I was on the beta, and it’s really fun – “…everyone can now record audio with the browser-based Odeo Studio – or via the phone. Either way, your voice gets posted as an MP3 on an Odeo page, and from there you can easily share it or edit the title, etc. We’ve also made some changes to how the site looks and works, which we think make it simpler and move it closer to our vision of Podcasting for Regular People.”Link.
