Brain machines at Maker Faire

Brain machines at Maker Faire

This is an upgrade to Mitch’s brain machine that requires moving the low pass filters from LED positions 3 and 4 to positions 4 and 5. New firmware provides superior audio and improved syncing of the LEDs with the binaural beats, as well as allowing software control of LED brightness. With an upgrade to the power supply, RGB LEDs are also supported. The firmware will also compile for an ATMegaX8 and will run on an Arduino.

The Road to Maker Faire: beatseqr

Our project is an open source, Arduino Mega-based computer interface and max/msp– based MIDI sequencer. You can find all kinds of information about it at beatseqr.com, but the ten-second pitch goes like this: Drum machines are fun to use because the interface is intuitive, but they only make the sounds they know how to make.
