We really enjoyed organizing the MAKE & CRAFT Halloween Contest this year. We’ve already shown you the winners, but thought we’d share more about the sweet prizes. I got to pack up the goodies and snapped a few pictures before the FedEx guy picked them up. Thanks to all who entered the contest! Above: 1st place in food, awarded to Marc Brownlow for his Skull Truffles.
There are a bunch of great projects in our Halloween contest on Make: Projects, but yours is still missing! Enter your Halloween projects today by 11:59pm PT to enter to win great prizes.
From user Douglas Desrochers. The barrels appear to be PVC. They rotate around a piece of 1/2″ copper pipe, and a high-intensity LED is positioned to shine down the top one, strobing as the barrels spin. On CRAFT, Brookelynn writes: “I know a little girl who has wanted to be a robot for as long as she can remember- a dancing robot, to be precise. The best thing about being a kid is letting your imagination run wild. The best thing about being a grown-up is being able to make a child’s dreams come to life. Introducing the BoogieBot 5000, the best robot Halloween costume ever.”
For this weekend, I thought it would be a good idea to remind you all that we’re still running a special build challenge for our Weekend Project series. Build a franken-mod of any of our current projects and you could win.
We’re always excited by Halloween here at MAKE, but we’re especially thrilled this year with the contest we’ve put together to celebrate our favorite maker holiday. This year, we’re doing things a little differently. For one, we’re doing the contest across both of our sites, MAKE and CRAFT, and we’re hosting the whole hoodoo bash over on Make: Projects.
