We got a lot of great contributions, stellar words of wisdom, filled with practical ingenuity, good humor, and down home philosophy as only dad can spin it.
Thingiverse user EverydayInventors provides this worthy addition to the amusing warning label genre, for those “when you know it’s not a good idea, but you’ve gotta do it anyway” situations.
Heading up this week’s MAKE Flickr pool roundup is this absolutely beautiful shot of an absolutely beautiful Halo prop helmet from user Tsabo Tsaboc. Other highlights include a Joule Thief from Lenny & Meriel, a lovely handmade switch box from Flabby Boohoo, and a pretty amazing view of custom bicycle legend whymcycle’s backyard. Check it out.

Kudos to Bre Pettis and the MakerBot team for doing such a great job on the Colbert Report last night. It was like a 5-minute infomercial for the MakerBot. Who would watch this and NOT want one? Also my friend, DC artist (and current MakerBot Artist-in-Residence) Jonathan Monaghan, helped with scanning Stephen’s head and made the eagle Stephen that’s shown. Way to go, Jonathan!
