Spotted in the MAKE Flickr pool, this elegant version of the classic sliding-tile puzzle executed in Lego elements by Peer Kreuger. The assembled puzzle has no visible studs.
Make: Projects community member Josh Burroughs restored his grandfather’s old pen knife, and shared his step-by-step photos and instructions with us. For a point of reference, below is what the old knife looked like before he got to work on it. Nice job, Josh!
I’ve wanted a door “knob” that worked like this for years. Would’ve been especially nice in some of the large chemistry and biochemistry labs I’ve worked in, where the “gloves on or off” protocols for opening doors between rooms were not always clearly established and/or followed. [via Gizmodo]
