The Scribbler bot
The scribbler bot is essentially a drawing machine that converts digital information into a physical drawing. The bot is made up of a software component and a hardware component. The software component analyzes a picture taken by a web camera (or just about any other image source), creates a unique line drawing from that analysis, and exports a point list that corresponds to the points that make up the lines. Cheap Robotic Microhelicopter HOW TO
RC model helicopter prices have reached a point where all sorts of challenging (i.e. crash-prone) robotics projects become affordable. This document explains how to build a 300 g, 3D-capable helicopter with embedded Linux and Bluetooth datalink for less than 500 EUR. As a proof of concept, we provide software which allows the helicopter to be remotely controlled over Bluetooth with a PC joystick. Future work will focus on the integration of sensors (IMU, altitude, magnetic compas, GPS, camera) and flight control software (either third-party or dedicated). [via] Link.

This site offers downloadable maps just for your iPod color. So far they have Boston, Chicago, New York, San Fran, DC, and Hong Kong. All the images are by section and 220 x 176. Technically, you don’t need an iPod color- these could work on Podzilla too. Link.
HOW TO – Mac OS X Running on Non-Apple Hardware
Hardmac.com has videos and more- OS X on a PC…The Apple Developer kit version of MacOSX x86 has indeed been fully cracked! An anonymous source has sent us a video showing MacOSX x86 booting natively on a Pc notebook Mitac 8050D (Pentium-M 735/1.6GHz). As you can see the boot phase is rather fast, and the error message at the end is simply due to an authorization error on the kext allowing PS/2 support. [via] Link.
DIY carbonating at Home with Improvised Equipment and Soda Fountains
Carbonating tap water to make seltzer is easy, fast, and absurdly inexpensive with my improvised apparatus. All that is required is to place CO2 (carbon dioxide) gas in agitated contact with chilled water for a few seconds. Link.
