DIY Plasma globe
Do it yourslef plasma globe. The circuit in my homemade unit has driven a homemade globe quite well. It has also driven a store-bought globe extremely well. Add to the list Neon bulbs (I get trails in candle-flicker bulbs and calculator displays.), florescent tubes, Xenon flash tubes, and even normal light bulbs, etc. [via] PDF Link.

Teen forced to close fair booth – for Marshmallow shooter!!
Ben Bustard, 17, of Bucksport dismantles his Marshmallow Shooters booth Tuesday at the Bangor State Fair after he was informed that the cost of $1 million of liability insurance was more than he initially budgeted for. Bustard was selling Marshmallow Shooters, a type of blowgun made from PVC pipe that shoots small marshmallows, similar to the way a cork flies out of the end of a popgun. Rack-mounted Nintendo…
Everything needs to be rack-mounted. I don’t know what possessed me to build this other than the fact I have some fascination with rack mount gear. It’s my goal to rack mount ever nintendo console made. I used a Game Genie to interface with the main board on the Nintendo. Thoes extra IDE cables are good for something. Link.
