I’m not sure why I like this, perhaps it’s because I’d like to put text/code on edible things at all the conferences – then eat them. This company makes food embossing gear, I really like the pizza roller, you roll it along and it makes text in the dough, then you bake it. You could automate it, and put RSS feeds or stock prices on them, but that might be going too far. Link.

This site allows you to enter any image or Flickr photo location and it will generate a calendar. You need to select each month and create the months manually, but with just 12 photos and little bit of time you could make a nice present for someone during the holidays. [via] Link. We love the idea of knitted art . A knitted chair is a second object in a series of sculptures entitled “Idle Work”. The yarn is hand-dyed 100% wool and is sewn around the chair like a skin. You can view the whole process online, from the yarn skein hand-dying to the final end result. Link.
MAKE Flickr photo pool member Kalanda has a photo set of the DIY video projector he made from an old overhead projector and a LCD screen. It’s a pretty low tech creation, but the results appear pretty good. The design also includes two little PC fans to keep the LCD cool while it is running. Link. In a few simple steps you’ll be configuring your stamps online with our simple customization tool. In days, you’ll receive your stamps in the mail, ready for use! All you need is a Yahoo! Photos account. I’ll eventually try this out once they allow you to use Flickr photos, I really want a LM555 timer chip stamp to send to friends, or other geeky stamps. [via] Link.
