I totally want to try this. Yehuda Duenyas, AKA XXXY, is an MFA student in RPI’s MFA program. His project, Ascent, uses EEG controlled performer flight as its centerpiece. Lauren controls her “ascent” by concentration read by an Emotive EEG headset.
AeroVironment, a DARPA contractor in California (Monrovia and Simi Valley), showed off this “nano hummingbird” at the AAAS National Meeting earlier in this month in DC. Both exciting and terrifying. I like the mention of a full-size aircraft possibly using this technology. Nano Hummingbird
The field of panoramic photography needs some better terminology, IMHO: “360-degree panorama,” it seems to me, could just as easily apply to a circular panorama of, say, the horizon, as it could to a fully spherical panorama that also includes up, down, and every other direction in space you could possibly look from a particular point. Or maybe the term is already out there and I just couldn’t figure it out? If you’re in the know, please share below.
