This project is called Take A Picture, by Toronto artists Brad Blucher and Kyle Clements. Though described as “paintings,” it appears that their pieces are in fact IR LED mosaics assembled behind blank canvases. Allerta Lead Designer Eric Migicovsky just released the code to his Facebook Places check-in app for the inPulse smartwatch. This simple app communicates over Bluetooth to an Android smartphone, which in turn interacts with Facebook Places. Without reaching for his smartphone, Eric can easily check in to his Facebook Places account using an easy to navigate one button interface.

These stick-on CD/DVD hubs are marketed to publishers who want to include an optical disc in a book, card, folder, or other printed matter. They cost pennies apiece and, with the aid of our handy print-and-cut template, are easily arranged in a hexagonal grid on any smooth surface you might want to use for disc storage. Discs stored this way are easy to browse at a glance, without flipping pages, and don’t take up space on a table or shelf.
