Makeshift mobile parabolic antenna
I have no idea what signal gain aarobc is getting with this setup, but whatever it is I’m sure it doesn’t compare to the novelty of it all.
iPad MiFi mod
It’s always interesting to see what people will do to go out of their way to get what they want. For instance, take this iPad MiFi mod from Jared of LMG Satellite. There’s absolutely no need to do this. Both devices will talk to each other over WiFi. But if you’ve got the itch, by all means, scratch away.
Zany hybrid rickshaw
Dubious practicality aside, you can’t deny this zany hybrid pedicab turns heads. Suspend your disbelief for a moment and marvel at the dual-action windmill/rotating sign’s purported ability to use the wind to assist the rider. If anything, it should attract copious potential customers.
USB host mode on Nexus One
Normally, when you connect your Android mobile to your PC you’re mounting it as a device. If you want to do it the other way around, you’re going to have to put the interface into USB host mode. Android hacker Sven Killig has got his Nexus One running in host mode and has connected all sorts of interesting devices to it. In addition to a USB keyboard, mouse, webcam, he’s also got an external monitor running X.
