Perhaps the best part of my work is hearing from people who have taken one of my projects and run with it. Elizabeth saw my recent PVC-dyeing hack and applied some real craftspersonship to the process, using the dye in two new ways that never would’ve occurred to me. The top cord has been tie-dyed and the bottom one resist-dyed.
Instructables user rog8811 set out to build a functional replica of an old-timey manual boating foghorn. He shows you how to build the basic horn by cutting apart a PVC sink trap and hacking it on to a off-the-shelf air pump. Then he does something I’d like to see more of in my own and others’ project tutorials…
