When you call it, it helps you look up a U.S. person or business from their directory service and then connects the call… And the directory service bears the cost of the call as it seems to be ad-supported. We killed it once, let us kill it again…Twenty members of Congress are calling for the reinstatement of the “broadcast flag,” a controversial form of copy prevention technology for digital TV broadcasts. In a letter Thursday, the politicians called for rapid approval of a federal law adopting the broadcast flag, which would outlaw over-the-air digital TV receivers and computer tuner cards that don’t follow strict anticopying standards. Looks like a good Make project…This would allow seniors (and others with impaired abstract thinking skills,) to dial phone numbers by just choosing a photo of someone and placing it in a holder next to the phone…you have to wonder if someone could hack this together out of, say, a CueCat, a free barcode font, and a photo printer...
