See our HOW TO…At $30 each these video cameras could be really useful for indymedia in latin america. The problem with expensive equiptment is that it centralized the means of production, you only have one camera, and when it’s lost it’s gone. But with $30 devices which record audio for interviews, video, and you can grab still’s from you can do some amazing work. It’s not so expensive that it’ll get stollen quickly. We could get one of these in to the hands of many media activists instead of the one digital camera per imc which is not the standard in most imc’s in countries with ‘under developed’ economies. Here’s a gallery of drawings made on the Nintendo DS. Sometimes I give my PSP a bit more attention it seems, but PicoChat on the DS is fun to draw and send things to others, so I keep the DS around, just for that…the gallery has some interesting art. Link.
The Freesound Project – a collaborative database of Creative Commons licensed sounds. It is developed for the international computer music conference 2005 to be held in Barcalona Spain in September. The site has a very advanced search engine. The best was recently introduced: geotags were added for the field recordings in the database. This means that you can look at your google earth and see all these cool sounds from all across the globe. Thanks Anton! Link.

Very cool google map hack using your AIM profile…You are able to view specific information such as …Screen Name, Date/Time they clicked on a link, IP Address, Browser, Operating System, Location. This information is then used to generate detailed graphs and Google Maps. Everything is also protected with a log in unlike similar services. Link.
