Orb Networks goes API…

I’ve been a fan of Orb for a long time, it allows you to watch all your media on your home PC from the road. And now they’ve opened up with a new API that allows developers to use their transcoding, transmission, and presentation frameworks inside the Orb server to gain access to any applications or content that is on (or accessible from) your home machine. I’m guessing you put the PSP in USB mode and it just sees/transfers/sends info around. ..A source with an Xbox 360 developer kit has been so kind to post images of the Sony PSP and the Xbox 360 interacting with each other. This feature was one of the surprises Microsoft had touted at E3 2005 earlier this year, a feature that probably drew significant attention from the Sony camp.
If you run iPodLinux like I do, here’s a treat- DOOM for the iPod. Mostly playable I need to sift through the Doom post for some key binds. Can load game saves. Can save game. Plays all wad files: Doom I Shareware (won’t play demos), Doom II Shareware, Ultimate Doom, Final Doom wads, and Doom II. Also unless you want Doom to crash in the menu put the help files in the folder too.
