As a kid growing up in Southern California I left at least a few old skate decks in my wake and this killer Recycled Skateboard Shelf from Esty seller Skate Mood would have been a great way to hang on to them and organize the rest of my stuff.

I was driving a local road here in Sebastopol, Calif. when something caught my eye. Skateboards. Lots of them. Not rolling down the street, but artfully painted ones tacked up on the garage of someone’s house and mounted on posts like sculpture. Turns out it was the work of a architect who has a side business as a artist and skateboard graphics designer.
Making skateboards out of… books? Yes, quite lovely and sturdy ones at that.
According to Instructables user nsnip, they’re made from Baltic birch! To make this board, he cut the rounded ends off stacks of sticks with a table saw, laminated them stick-by-stick in five layers with alternating grain directions, and glued the whole thing together in an improvised vacuum press made from a clothes storage bag. Impressive, meticulous craftsmanship.
Considering how upset he was by a relatively tiny bloodstain, that guy from Gleaming The Cube is gonna be livid when he sees what these young punks have done to his pool. Appears to be, at least in part. the work of London based street artist D*face.
