Just finished watching the premiere episode of SYSTM and it’s really good- Kevin Rose and gang mod a wireless video receiver to “warspy” (looking for wireless cams in home, biz, etc..) the production and graphics in the show are outstanding- my favorite parts are the chip animations, it’s always a challenge to show those types of things, on video in particular, they did a nice job- so here’s a review with screenshots from the show!…

Here’s a quick video (1.8mb Quicktime) I shot in my kitchen of Mousey the JunkBot (Warning: I am teaching my dog to “get the robot” so you’ll hear that a lot). Mousey’s behavior is fittingly mouse- like. It scoots quickly across the floor, thanks to lively little motors. And when the critter crashes into anything, it speeds off in the opposite direction. If you want to learn more about building your own Mousey (a robot made from a mouse) here’s a PDF preview of what’s in issue 02 of MAKE.
